Works the same idea on iPhone and Android, including sharing from one to the other. Send them a copy so they can hit the ground running.

Premium features on a shared team need Premium on the receiving phone. Anyone can send the link. The parent who imports the team needs WalkUp Songs Premium to use the Premium features that came with that copy.

How to share

On the phone that already has the team

  • Open WalkUp Songs and open the team.
  • Tap Share (or the share icon on the team).
  • Send the link by text, email, or AirDrop — or have them scan the QR code on your screen.

On the phone that will run the game

  • Install WalkUp Songs from the App Store or Google Play if it isn’t there yet.
  • Open the link (or scan the QR).
  • Tap Open in WalkUp Songs.
  • The team imports as its own copy. Ensure music is set up (see below for more details).
  • If a feature on that copy is marked Premium, subscribe on this phone to use it.
Not the same as iCloud. iCloud only syncs your own devices on the same Apple ID. Sharing is how a parent gets the roster.

Planning and testing ahead of time is always suggested.

Audio sources

The link carries the lineup: names, numbers, order, and which song each player is set to.

Apple Music (iPhone) and YouTube (Android)

These play for the person who received the team when they use the same kind of phone: Apple Music songs on an iPhone with an Apple Music subscription, and YouTube songs on an Android phone.

Apple Music isn't available on Android, and YouTube isn't available on iPhone. If you share a team from an iPhone to an Android phone (or the other way), the names, numbers, and order come across, but those players need a song picked again on the other phone. Which sources each phone supports

Local files and your library

These do not come with the link. MP3s on your phone, and songs that only exist in your music library, have to be copied onto the other phone and added there. Full walkthrough: Local Files Guide.

Put the songs in one folder

A shared “WalkUp Songs” folder with every player’s MP3 is easier to send than a pile of loose files.

Send the folder

AirDrop or Messages on iPhone. Quick Share or text on Android. A shared Google Drive or Dropbox folder works too, and so does email.

Save them on the other phone

Download into Files or Downloads, not only a cloud preview. Then assign each file to the matching player in WalkUp Songs.

Keep them downloaded

On iPhone, long-press the folder in Files and choose Keep Downloaded so iCloud doesn’t offload the songs. On Android, keep the MP3s in Downloads or Music, not cloud-only.

Before you hand off the phone duties

It’s a snapshot, not a live link If you change the lineup after sharing, the other phone does not update. Share again and have them import the new copy.

They bring the speaker connection Bluetooth pairs to the phone that’s playing. The substitute should connect the speaker to their phone and do a volume check.

Apple Watch stays with its phone Watch controls follow the phone the watch is paired to. Sharing the team does not share your watch.

One player is fine too You can share a single player the same way if someone only needs one walk-up song, not the whole roster.
